At No Worries Curries we aim to take all the hard work out of getting an authentic curry to your table.  Our standard recipes for curries are easy enough but the Thermomix takes cooking to the next level.  You can walk away once you set the timer!

If ever there was a kitchen appliance that made Indian cooking a breeze it has to be the Thermomix.  You never have to cry over chopping onions ever again.  In 4 seconds flat you’ve chopped your onions, garlic and ginger (the trilogy that forms the base of most curries) and are ready to go on to the next step sautéing – all you do is set the timer and walk away.  No stirring, no watching to make sure it doesn’t burn.  In 4minutes it will beep you to take you to the next step - adding your sauce ingredients.  Tomatoes get pureéd in 5 seconds flat and you have a chicken/ fish /vegetable curry ready no more than 15 minutes later.   A truly unique experience. 

But it gets better – there’s no chopping boards, knives, mixing bowls, mortar and pestle etc etc to wash which is wonderful in these days of water shortages.

Blanched Tomatoes

To blanch tomatoes:

  • lightly score the smooth end of the tomatoes with a cross (about a centimetre in length)
  • plunge them into freshly boiled water for about 1 minute
  • remove with a slotted spoon and place in cold water
  • peel the skins immediately
  • halve, then scoop out the seeds and remove the hard core from the top with a sharp knife
  • use sliced or chopped as you like
